Welcome to our Baroque musical world
The Berwick Baroque Players, launched in 2024, is an ensemble of Northumberland and Borders classical musicians and soloists. We are united by a shared love of 17th/18th century music known as the Baroque period when significant new vocal and instrumental genres such as opera, oratorio, cantata, sonata and the concerto were introduced, giving soloists the chance to showcase their skills. Composers such as Monteverdi, J.S. Bach, and George Frederic Handel all flourished at this time.
